PANAMA CITY, Panama, February 9, 2010 The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) welcomed British royalty yesterday, with the visit of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York who also serves as the United Kingdoms Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
During his first Panama Canal visit, ACP Administrator/CEO Alberto Alemán Zubieta greeted the Prince and briefed him on the latest developments at the waterway, including the historic expansion project, which continues to progress on time and on budget.

The Panama Canal is indeed one of the greatest engineering marvels and a gateway to world trade, said Prince Andrew. I am highly impressed by the work of the Panama Canal Authority and their management of the Expansion Program.
