Brock Built Captures Six Gold OBIES

Brock Built, a custom Atlanta Intown builder, had a spectacular showing at the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association’s 29th Annual OBIE Awards Gala held in November at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

ATLANTA – Brock Built, a custom Atlanta Intown builder, had a spectacular showing at the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association’s 29th Annual OBIE Awards Gala held in November at the Cobb Galleria Centre. The builder took home six gold awards, winning in the following categories:

• Single family detached, urban redevelopment/revitalization $299,999 and under, Habershal at West Highlands
• Single family attached, urban redevelopment/revitalization $299,999 and under, The Commons at Historic Westside
• Single family attached, urban redevelopment/revitalization, $300,000-$449,999, Huff Heights
• Community service, Habershal at West Highlands
• Green Build, 2500+ square feet, Habershal at West Highlands
• Best Advertising/Best Billboard, Dupont Commons

The Sales and Marketing Council of the HBA presents its annual OBIE Awards every November. The OBIE Awards began in 1980 and have grown consistently and now feature more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories in which one can enter. The awards are the highest honor given in the Atlanta housing industry.

To date, Brock has built more than 1,000 homes in the Atlanta area. In 2008, Brock was named Builder of the Year by the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association, and his company captured 11 OBIE Awards. In early 2009, Brock Built was also named the EarthCraft Home Builder of the Year. EarthCraft is a residential green building program of the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association in partnership with Southface. The program, founded in 1999, serves as a blueprint and resource for how to build energy efficient homes.
