Catalyst for Change

On behalf of the Build UK Board Mark Castle and Suzannah Nichol issued a statement clearly setting out the Leadership role that Build UK will play in moving the industry forward, changing the way it operates and behaves. Build UK Chairman, Mark Castle also spoke to Construction News.

New Members

Build UK membership continues to expand with a new membership category of Professional Services, which will bring consultants, architects, designers and project managers into discussions. Arup, Cast Consultancy and Rider Levett Bucknall UK Ltd (RLB) are the first three members to join the new category. 

Build UK's Contractor and Alliance membership continues to grow, with Ilke Homes joining as a Contractor member and NHBC as the latest Alliance member. 

Changes to the Leadership Groups
In order to drive change within the industry, Build UK has reformed its Leadership Group structure so it is better aligned to our project delivery. If there are specific projects your organisation is interested in, please contact Jenny House.  
 
Open Doors
Open Doors sees Build UK members open their live sites to members of the public. There are now 275 sites opening so please book your place and  promote the week amongst your network. For more information, please contact Emily Hay
Insurance Impact: As part of our work on the Industry Response Group, Build UK is surveying members to help understand difficulties obtaining insurance. Build UK would like to encourage members to participate and disseminate to others. To participate in the short survey click here.
