Business Expert Offers Advice for Getting New Leads from Existing Clients
The rise of social media has affected most areas of business, and sales is no exception. In a new online TV show, Sales 2.0 expert Nigel Edelshain shares his latest sales advice on new tools to get you out of that sales dead end.
England, UK, March 16, 2009 (PressReleasePoint) -- A new piece of business advice is bound to cheer up any sales professional out there who has hit a brick wall in their sales efforts.
In a new TV show produced by yourBusinessChannel, Sales 2.0 expert Nigel Edelshain gives business sales tips to help salespeople make the sales breakthroughs that they’ve been looking for in these tough times.
Edelshain begins his sales advice on the show by identifying an important flaw in the business sales strategy of many salespeople. The problem is that most people have just a single contact in each organisation in their client database. As a result, if they haven’t closed a deal, or don’t seem likely to in the near future, they give up.
This reaction is understandable of course, but new research shows what a flawed business sales strategy it is. Edelshain explains the results of recent research carried out by Marketing Sherpa in his business sales tips on the show. This research shows that the sales process in a large organisation will usually involve many people, not one.
These results suggest that salespeople need to adopt a new business sales strategy. With the benefit of this information, we know that when one client contact turns you down, there are probably many more people in that company who can be approached.
Edelshain closes the show by offering sales advice on locating these other contacts within the client organisation. One of business sales tips is to make use of online contact databases. These can be a very valuable tool for this purpose, he says.
