The Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) First Annual Conference, which will take place from 24 to 25 November 2014, is inviting submissions. QGBC provides leadership and encourages collaboration to conduct environmentally sustainable practices for green building design and development in Qatar. The conference will address major issues and provide answers to some of the most significant challenges of environmental sustainability and promoting best practice for the built environment for Qatar, the Gulf region and beyond.
QGBC is inviting proposals that can be developed into peer-reviewed articles for publication, as well as presentations and conference posters addressing overall health and sustainability of the environment, the people, and economic security in Qatar for generations to come. These principles underscore the inaugural conference’s four key themes:
Passivhaus in the MENA region
Carbon Footprinting and Qatar’s National Vision
Future Sustainable Cities
All accepted papers will be will be published in a special issue of QScience Proceedings. All abstracts of approved papers, posters and developed presentations will be also be published by QScience.com.
