Callcredit Shortlisted for National Business Award

30/07/2010 -- Callcredit Information Group has today been announced as a finalist for The Orange Innovation Award, as part of this year’s National Business Awards in partnership with Orange, for their Affordability Suite.

Callcredit faced tough competition, with the total number of organisations entering the National Business Awards in 2010 increasing by over 40 percent compared to last year, despite the challenging market conditions. The leeds-based company must now make a presentation to the expert judging panel in the coming months, before finding out at the ceremony on November 6th if they have won the award.

The Affordability Suite, that Callcredit entered for the award, compares a person’s income with their current debt levels to assess whether they can afford more credit, whilst traditional credit risk tools only look at past payment history. This helps banks to ensure that they are making responsible lending decisions.
