Campus Evolution Villages will manage the iconic Dobie Center, a 979-bed student housing property at the University of Texas in Austin, TX.

New York, NY, July 14, 2014 - (PressReleasePoint) - Campus Evolution Villages, LLC, a subsidiary of Lauderhill Partners, LLC, announced today that it has been retained to manage Dobie Center, a 979 bed property serving students at The University of Texas at Austin.  The company now owns and/or manages approximately 10,000 beds across 23 student housing assets located in 14 states.

Dobie Center is an exciting and unique student housing asset for Campus Evolution Villages to take on; its rich history in setting the bar for student housing in the US is undisputed and ideally suited for CEV’s student-centric approach to student housing.  Dobie Center, owned by an affiliate of The Carlton Group, is nearing completion of a $4 million renovation, which includes common areas, rooms and the 75,000 square foot mall located in the base of the tower serving Dobie residents and the UT Austin student population.

“The opportunity to take on Dobie Center is a very exciting proposition for us says Campus Evolution Villages CEO Andrew Stark. “This property brings back many great memories of when I was previously involved in acquiring, owning and managing this amazing asset that truly launched the student housing category.

"Dobie Center," he adds, "is ideally located at the edge of the campus and has always been the 'go to' property for students from around the country and the world attending UT Austin and the renovations have catapulted the property back to the forefront.”

Comments Evan Denner, CIO for Campus Evolution Villages: “Because we have a longstanding relationship with Dobie’s ownership, they understood the value of our campus-centric approach, including our core philosophy and holistic view towards the student/life experience. Across Campus Evolution we provide useful and sophisticated services and products that are ideally suited to the Dobie Center demographic, enhancing our residents' lives, and which will be a value-add to the property’s performance.”
