A recent Canadian immigration report estimated that Quebec will continue to bring record numbers of immigrants to the province.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada., November 7, 2011 - (PressReleasePoint) - A recent Canadian immigration report estimated that Quebec will continue to bring record numbers of immigrants to the province. Provincial Immigration Minister Kathleen Weil said that Quebec would let in between 51,200 and 53,800 newcomers in the year 2012. The same projection is expected in 2013 and 2014.
A large portion of these new arrivals will be unable to speak French, a fact that has some within the separatist Parti Quebecois grumbling.
Liberal Minister Kathleen Weil insists the provincial government will continue the promotion of the French language and that it plans to focus on the recruitment of candidates who are already fluent in French before their arrival.
The provincial Liberal government has already undergone criticism by its own Conseil superieur de la langue francaise, for not making enough French classes available to immigrants.
