Venues Cafe is keeping it local by buying produce and other fresh ingredients from Arizona based businesses and growers

Venues Café has created a fresh new menu based on locally sourced products.  The Carefree, AZ café has found the best selection of seasonal produce through their relationship with Phoenix supplier, Aztec Specialty Produce.  Since 1986, the local supplier has grown from a small herb company to providing the best in a full range of specialty produce to the finest Arizona restaurants.  The small, family owned company has grown by referral and word of mouth.   Venues is currently featuring a selection of salads from Apple & Fresh Asparagus with mixed greens, candied nuts, feta and apple vinaigrette to hearty Baby Spinach Salad with bacon, egg, tomato, red onion and blue cheese dressing.  Aztec’s freshest seasonal vegetables enhance menu offerings such as their always fresh Seasonal Fish, Shrimp and Lemon Risotto and Rack of Lamb with pecan crust.

Venues also uses the finest locally sourced olive oils from the Queen Creek Olive Mill to create their perfectly balanced house-made dressings.  The Queen Creek Mill grows over 16 different varietals of olives to produce the freshest cold-pressed olive oil.  The family owned mill presses their olives within 24 hours of harvesting and uses sustainable farming practices to safeguard the environment and provide the healthiest possible product for customers.  Venues’ fresh, house-made vinaigrettes and dressings feature the Queen Creek Olive Mill’s high quality oils.

The commitment to buying local continues at Venues with the Roastery of Cave Creek coffees.  These coffees are roasted locally in small batches, and feature the finest selection of organic and fair trade coffees available.  The Roastery of Cave Creek (ROC2) custom roasts coffees for the finest restaurants in Arizona and has partnered with China Mist teas, which are also served by Venues.  Venues customers enjoy the rich flavors of ROC2 coffee and espresso after a delicious dinner, or along with Venues’ new brunch menu items.  Enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning Brunch of Eggs Benedict or a stack of fluffy, malted batter pancakes with butter and maple syrup.  Specialty sandwiches round out the menu, along with Venues’ Specialty Quiche and fresh salad and of course Mimosa and Bloody Mary drinks.
