We are delighted that Carotech has been selected as one of the finalists in this inaugural 2011 NBT Awards within the category of Most Innovative Ingredient

April 26th, 2011 – New Jersey, USA – Carotech Inc., the largest and only GMP-certified tocotrienol producer, is pleased to announce that its patented and bioenhanced Tocomin® SupraBio™ natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex has been selected as a finalist in the “Most Innovative Ingredient” category of the 2011 Nutraceutical, Business & Technology (NBT) Awards.

The NBT Awards 2011 are organized by Via Connect Ltd (Via Media UK Ltd) in partnership with Vitafoods Europe that recognize excellence in R&D, marketing, business and technology within the nutraceutical industry.

The Most Innovative Ingredient Award category honors the development of a novel active or functional component that combines innovative science or new product features in a way that demonstrates substantial benefits to end-user populations when compared with existing ingredients for that disease condition or health management application. Judging criteria include technical advancement, scientific merits, benefits to manufacturers and breadth of application.

“We are delighted that Carotech has been selected as one of the finalists in this inaugural Award. Our Tocomin®SupraBio™ has obviously made an impression on the panel of judges as an innovative ingredient that guarantees an increase in absorption of tocotrienols (super vitamin E) of up to 300%,” says Mr. WH Leong, Vice President of Carotech.

The winners will be announced on May 11th, 2011 during the Vitafoods trade show in Geneva, Switzerland.
