The Carrigdhoun localrewards.ie Shop September promotion takes place across the month of September. Holders of registered Carrigaline localrewards.ie cards are automatically entered into a draw every week they use their card in a participating business. An eligible card is then drawn every Saturday and, after answering a simple question, the cardholder can win 50 points in every business. In addition to this there is a grand draw in which everyone who has used their registered card in 2 or more different businesses during the month is automatically entered. The winner of the grand draw gets 100 points from each business plus a cash prize of €250.

The Shop September promotion is being sponsored by The Carrigdhoun newspaper. "We're delighted that The Carrigdhoun has the vision to see how a town loyalty card can help promote shopping across the town, something that's more important than ever if communities are to remain vibrant," said Brian O'Connell the Chief Executive of myrewardcard.ie.

Cardholders have a choice of 12 businesses in which to use the card, with more expected to join during the month. These include, pet, shoe and clothing shops, hair salons, bookshops, play centers, tyre centers, garages, beauty salons and restaurants.

Even before the promotion begins the Carrigaline localrewards.ie loyalty card has proven to be extremely popular with residents and businesses alike. "We launched 1 month ago with 6 businesses and this has expanded to 12, with more indicating that they will be joining in September. More importantly cards have been used by 1,600 people in the town with over 20% registering already. This response has been even greater than we had hoped" according to Brian O'Connell.

ABOUT LOCALREWARDS.IE
The software used in Carrigaline was developed by myrewardcard.ie, a Cork company. After seeing customer research showing the popularity of Loyalty Cards and knowing that existing solutions were too expensive and complex for most small businesses they developed a solution that would allow those businesses to replace cardboard stamped cards with real loyalty cards. The solution is in use with individual businesses around the country. Carrigaline is the first town to use it to allow holders of the one card to access multiple individual loyalty programs. The company is looking at expanding the service to other towns in Ireland.
