CASE Group Presents DRI SKBIT Technology for Sponge Iron Industry

CASE Group has come up with SKBIT technology to produce briquetted iron. This DRI technology will help industries to reduce production costs while producing final products in terms of quality and quantity.

Faridabad, Haryana India., January 4, 2013  (PressReleasePoint)- CASE Group, an esteemed market leader in Sponge Iron manufacturing industry has come up with DRI SKBIT technology to reduce iron ore fines directly through coal fines to produce final product- briquetted iron.

The CASE SKBIT process is based on Swedish technology (hoganas technology) which incorporates static tunnel kiln process. In this process, the ore fines rich in iron oxides are loaded with coal fines in Silicon Carbide containers. The fully loaded containers are then passed through a heating zone thereby enabling the oxides to reduce to metallic iron.

During the presentation of SKBIT process, the managing director of CASE Group of Industries, Mr. Roger Kumar said, “Our technology helps industries to reduce production cost while giving outputs in terms of quality and quantity. Moreover, SKBIT ensures no pollution, which is a major constraint in the steel manufacturing sector”.

Sources confirmed that the kiln measures about 194 m in length and is the longest of its kind in the country.
