CCTV China begins Stereo3D broadcasting with Quantel

China's national television station CCTV has invested in a Quantel Enterprise sQ system to power its new Stereo3D broadcast channel. The system handles ingest, editing and output of S3D media within a totally integrated S3D workflow.

The system has "a great editing and effects toolset allowing the completion of all editing tasks without the need to switch between different applications," according to CCTV Director, Mr Cui. "The Geofix functionality within the edit software allows the editors to quickly fix 3D issues and see an instant result which has proven invaluable," adds Head of Post Production, Ms Wang.
