Central Festival Phuket Supports Football Friendly For Russian-Thai Relations

Central Festival Phuket shopping mall lent its support to the first ever friendly international football match in the southern Thai province and popular tourist destination to build Russian-Thai relations.



Phuket, Thailand., January 19, 2014 - (PressReleasePoint) -

About 2,000 football fans turned out on Saturday evening (18th Jan) to watch Russian team Vladivostok FC take on Phuket FC at Phuket's Sarakul Stadium in the first friendly international football match held in the province.

 

Cheering on the Russian team were many of Phuket's Russian expats as well as special guest, Vladivostok Thai Consul Mr Kulyushin Vitalii Garyevich, who thanked Phuket FC owner Pramuk Wisit for a warm welcome to the island and the opportunity to foster good relations between the two cities through a friendly sporting event.

 

The Vladivostok-Phuket match was organized by Expert Media with support from Central Festival Phuket to help build good relations between the two cities and the Russian expat community in Phuket.

 

We hope our support of this first friendly international match will help the Russian expat community feel more at home here in Phuket,” said Central Festival Phuket's Division Marketing Manager-Tourist Marketing Mr Shoongiat Chotithamaporn.

 

The match ended with a four-nil win for the home team.
