Aloha kākou:

Kamehameha Schools leaders are in regular contact with State Civil Defense, and we are watching the progress of hurricane Iselle and tropical storm Julio.

Hurricane Iselle is expected to be downgraded to a tropical storm when it arrives at Hawai’i Island on or around 11 a.m., Thursday. At 11:00 a.m. today, Civil Defense issued a Tropical Storm WATCH for Iselle.

A WATCH alert means conditions are possible within the next 48 hours; and a WARNING alert means conditions are possible within 36 hours.

The safety of our students and employees is of utmost importance to us, so we will be sending updated messages to you over the next few days regarding decisions about Kamehameha’s educational programs and various business locations.

All KS messages will also be posted to the following KS online sites:

Please watch for our messages, and stay tuned to your local news for information about emergency preparations and weather updates.
