CERAM's free one-day event will cover topics ranging from surface analysis and characterisation to cleanliness and validation approaches.

CERAM, a global expert in materials testing, analysis and consultancy, is pleased to announce their forthcoming ‘Materials Analysis & Consultancy in the Healthcare Sector’ event (www.ceram.com/health). Talks will be presented by CERAM’s materials experts on topics ranging from surface analysis and characterisation to cleanliness and validation approaches. The one-day event is free to attend and will be held on Thursday 15 October 2009 at CERAM, Stoke-on-Trent, UK.

An expert from a leading consumer healthcare company will talk about the different types of surface analysis that CERAM has undertaken for their products including the use of DSIMS and White Light Interferometry, explaining how this work has supported the science underpinning their products in the market with both consumers and professionals. Presentations will also be given by leading materials analysis experts from CERAM, and an afternoon of networking will end with a series of one-on-one consultancy sessions where delegates can ‘meet the experts’ in a confidential setting. The event is aimed at all healthcare industry sectors including medical devices, pharma and consumer healthcare.

“Materials analysis and consultancy plays a critical role in the development of many healthcare products,” commented Ravi Rathod, Medical Devices Market Development Director at CERAM. “By bringing together healthcare industry leaders and materials expertise in one forum we hope to open up this area of science to the wider healthcare community in an accessible and informative way.”

Further details of the event can be found at www.ceram.com/health and places can be reserved online or by contacting Jemma Melvin on +44 (0)1782 764269, jemma.melvin@ceram.com.
