Ashby-de-la-Zouch, UK, 28 March, 2014 – CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading supply chain management companies, supported the recent UK-France Summit by building the surrounding set at RAF Brize Norton on behalf of CEVA’s customer BAE Systems.
CEVA’s specialist exhibition logistics team, Showfreight, assembled a full scale replica of a Future Combat Air System (FCAS) that played a starring role in the backdrop of the press conference which President of the French Republic, François Hollande, and British Prime Minister, David Cameron attended. Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Defence Secretary, Energy Secretary and Minister for Science also attended along with their opposite numbers from the French government.
Martin Rowe-Willcocks, BAE Systems Head of FCAS Business Development said: “CEVA was instrumental in helping to put on a great show for the world’s media. The Showfreight team reacted very quickly and worked through the night to ensure the replica was built and in place in time for the press conference.”
Sharon Robinson, Managing Director of CEVA’s Showfreight team said: “It was a privilege to work on such a high profile event and the fact that the world’s media was present added a little more pressure, but nothing we couldn’t handle. The team is always passionate about our customers and able to react quickly with agility and responsiveness to ensure events, such as the Summit, run smoothly.”
CEVA’s Showfreight team offers event logistics solutions around the world including transportation, onsite handling and customs clearance. The specialist team has offices in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands and is a member of the International Exhibition Logistics Associates (IELA).
