CFA Downtown Studio hosts opening reception featuring Alan Zimmerman

Event features multiple artists


The College of Fine Arts at The University of New Mexico hosts an opening reception for “In Between lines / Scores and Some Notes,” by Alan Zimmerman. The reception will be held Friday, Oct. 20 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the CFA Downtown Studio.

The event will feature multiple artist’s works and a performance by Zimmerman at 7:30 p.m.

A second concert, featuring artists Peter Gilbert, Anne Eisfeller, Mary Brzezinski, Kevin Vigneau, Kim Fredenburg, Ian Brody and Micah Hood, will be held the following week on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 8 to 9 p.m.

Both events will take place at the CFA Downtown Studio located 113 Fourth Street N.W.

Artists featured at the opening reception include Eric Richards, Szu-Han Ho, Peter Gilbert, Karola Obermüller, José-Luis Hurtado, Raven Chacon, Matt Evans, Steven Gomez, Micah Hood and Lauren Valerie Coons.

The synesthesia exhibition is co-curated by Alan Zimmerman and Lara Goldman in collaboration with Peter Gilbert.
