CFTC Staff to Host a Public Roundtable to Discuss Risk Management Practices by Commodity Pool Operators

Washington, DC – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that staff will hold a public roundtable on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to discuss risk management practices by Commodity Pool Operators.

The roundtable will focus on the use of risk management procedures in the operation of various types of commodity pools, including registered investment companies, public commodity pools, private funds, and funds of funds. Discussion will include risk management controls relating to investment risk, operational risk, and compliance or regulatory risk.

Roundtable Concludes

The roundtable will be held in the Conference Center at the CFTC’s Headquarters at Three Lafayette Centre, 1155 21st Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20581. The discussion will be open to the public. Members of the public may also listen by telephone and should be prepared to provide their first name, last name, and affiliation.
