Skipper Danny Chard ripped through Keynsham's middle order to finish with 5-14 from five overs and help his side to a 39-run home win in the quarter-finals of the Bristol & District Cup.

Only Wickus Germishuizen (32) in the top order was able to establish himself at the wicket as Sandun Dias (2-31 from five), Hamza Sultan-Ali (1-33) and Matt Chidgey (1-35) kept the pressure on to dismiss the visitors for 135.

Earlier, Stapleton's imposing total of 174-6 owed much to an explosive 79 by opener Dias who smashed nine fours and six sixes off just 30 balls.

Chard weighed in with a breezy unbeaten 24 and Sultan-Ali was 23 not out for the home side who will now be away to Claverham in the last four.
