Choral Works Concert Scheduled

Thief River Falls, MINN. (November 1, 2010) – More than 100 vocal performers from the area will take the stage on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 6 p.m. in the Northland Community and Technical College Theatre. The High School Honor Choir, made up of over 100 top choral students from the area and the Northland Chamber Choir, led by Vanessa Martell, will perform a variety of music. Admission for the Choral Works Concert is $4.00.


The schools attending this year’s high school festival, and their directors are: Badger Public School – Sara Carpenter; Fisher HS – Brittany Pyle; Goodridge School – Kathryn Nordine; Grygla-Gatzke HS – Gene Lunsetter; Heritage Christian School – Leslie Widner; Stephen/Argyle Central – Renee Jensen; Tri-County HS – Sara Carpenter; Greenbush/Middle River – Dan Carpenter; Red Lake County Central – Patty Mickelson; Marshal County Central – Deland Elseth; WAO – Mona Schroeder; Sacred Heart - Gayle Gulbransen.



Preceding this concert is a day of rehearsal for the High School Honor Choir. Their full day of rehearsing will culminate at the Choral Works Concert. Brianna Helm, Northland Ensemble Accompanist, will accompany all of the vocal groups at the evening concert.



The Northland Chamber Choir members are: Lisa Asmus, Aubrey Davis-Perrault, Travis Doneth, Alexander Evans, Danny Janes, Collen Kubowski, Kayla Lee, Jennifer Lindemoen, Amanda Ludwick, Katie Lundeen, Arrie McGregor, Ashlee Nelson, Alayna Olson, Amanda Ortlepp, Kayla Slawson, Alexandria Schill, Matt Springer, Jay Turner, Kaitlynn Valencia, Tanner Wang, Hannah Waswick, and Shannon Watts.
