Cisco Compatible 1000Base-BX SFP Bidirectional Transceiver
The Cisco compatible fiber optic transceivers can be used for Gigabit Ethernet 1000BASE-BX and Fiber Channel by using 1310 nm/1490 nm transmitter and 1490 nm /1310 nm receiver.
Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics is offering its Cisco compatible 1000Base-BX SFP bidirectional transceiver for Gigabit Ethernet, fiber channel links, switched backplane applications and other optical transmission systems. It is a hot-pluggable I/O device that plugs into an Ethernet SFP port of a Cisco switch or router to link the port with the network.
These Cisco compatible small form factor hot pluggable fiber optic transceivers, model C015PB01, are used in pairs. These transceivers transmit and receive signals on one fiber strand using two wavelengths. They have a transmit power range of -3 to -9 dBm and a receive power range of -1 to -21 dBm. The transceivers also feature low power dissipation and RoHS compliance.
These optical transceivers consist of two sections: the transmitter section uses 1550 nm DFB laser/1310 nm Fabry-Perot laser; the receiver section uses an integrated B type/A type detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC.
Using standard simplex LC connectors for fiber cable connection, the transceivers provide a long transmission distance of up to 10 km over 9/125 micron single mode fiber (SMF) at a maximum data rate of up to 1.25 Gbps.
In addition, they are compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification, SFF-8472 and IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Standard.
The Cisco compatible transceivers belong to GAO's family of Cisco compatible optical transceivers. This line includes a wide variety of products such as Cisco Compatible 1000Base-ZX GBIC Transceiver, Cisco Compatible 1000Base-BX SFP Bidirectional Transceiver and other similar products. GAO's pluggable transceivers offer a convenient and cost effective solution for use in data centers, metropolitan area access and ring networks, and storage area networks.
