City of San Jose and Harmonic Celebrate Upcoming Corporate Headquarters Relocation
San Jose, Calif. - January 14, 2010-At a ribbon cutting ceremony today, San José Mayor Chuck Reed and Harmonic Inc. (NASDAQ: HLIT) President and CEO Patrick Harshman will celebrate Harmonic’s upcoming corporate headquarters relocation to San José in August 2010. Mayor Reed, Dr. Harshman, and other representatives from the City of San José, the San José-Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and Harmonic will participate in the 11:00 a.m. ceremony at the new facility located at 4300 North First Street.
Harmonic, a leading provider of video delivery solutions for video service operators worldwide, is moving from its current location in Sunnyvale, California to an 188,000 square foot facility to provide an outstanding work environment for its employees and to gain significant cost savings and business efficiencies. The company employs approximately 475 people in its Silicon Valley headquarters, and an additional 375 employees in locations around the world. The building will accommodate Harmonic’s headquarters operations as well as a research and development center for its ground-breaking video delivery technologies. Exterior and interior construction and upgrades to the building will begin this month.
