Cleaning Up The Linux Graphics Driver Stack
Yesterday Luc Verhaegen gave a talk at FOSDEM onreverse engineering a motherboard BIOS, but today wefinally have X@FOSDEMforthe last time. Luc has just begun his talk on unifying and simplifying the free software desktop's graphics driver stack. Here are his slides and we will be back with more updates and videos on Phoronix as the presentation progresses.
Luc has already cleaned up the graphics driver stack for his xf86-video-unichrome driver and he hopes the other drivers will follow a similar approach of integrating their driver stack to make it easier and better for all parties involved.
