Cognito Designed Sustainability Report Secures Double Honour

The Cognito designed L&T Corporate Sustainability Report 2009 was adjudged “Runner-Up” in two categories of the GRI Readers’ Choice Awards – the Engage Award and the Value Chain Award.

The Cognito designed L&T Corporate Sustainability Report 2009 was adjudged “Runner-Up” in two categories of the GRI Readers’ Choice Awards – the Engage Award and the Value Chain Award. The L&T Sustainability Report ensured that India made its presence strongly felt at these prestigious global awards as it emerged the only report from Asia to secure international distinction. The awards were announced before an august audience of 1200 sustainability professionals at The Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency on the 27th of May 2010. Over 2,000 sustainability reports worldwide were entered in the competition from 60 countries. Of these 105 sustainability reports were short-listed for the Awards and readers from 55 countries voted on these short-listed reports.

This was the second edition of the GRI Reader’s Choice Awards, the inaugural awards were hosted in 2008 and the Cognito designed ABN Amro Bank India Sustainability Report had swept those awards by winning three honours – ‘The Best Report, Financial Markets” and “Honourable Mention in the Country and the Financial Services Sector.”

Sustainability Reports developed by Cognito have been winning recognition and awards regularly at various forums. The Mahindra Sustainability Report had bagged Gold at the ABCI (Association of Business Communicators of India) Awards 2010 and was ranked 5th for ‘Creativity in Communication’ in the Corporate Register Reporting Awards 2008.
