Are you being called to live mercy and give hope? Then join the Sisters of Providence from Nov. 10-12 for the “Come and See” weekend retreat.

“My first Come and See, I really had no idea what to expect,” Sister Joni Luna said recently. “I providentially came to a retreat called ‘Come and See,’ not knowing it was a gathering of women seeking more information about the Sisters of Providence. I came because I was seeking a deeper relationship with God and exploring my own spirituality. It happened to be a ‘Come and See’ weekend.”

After meeting with many Sisters of Providence during that weekend, and learning more about Saint Mother Theodore Guerin – foundress of the Sisters of Providence – Sister Joni’s new awareness awakened something deep inside her, causing her to want to know more about the Sisters themselves, their mission and life together.  Her curiosity was sparked.

The impact of the retreat caused me to be even more interested in learning about Providence, about Saint Mother Theodore and about the sisters I had met,” she said. “Seeking even more time to learn about the Sisters of Providence, I asked for an extended stay with the sisters during a summer break and was paired with a discernment guide.

“I knew then that I wanted to give it a try, and as Providence would have it, here I am today, saying ‘Yes’ to Providence.”

And give it a try she did!  So much so that she became Sister Joni Luna, a Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.

Are you interested in learning more about the Sisters of Providence? Are you being called to live mercy and give hope? Are you a single Catholic woman between the ages of 18 and 42?

If so, make plans to get to know the Sisters of Providence during the Come and See Weekend Retreat, scheduled for Nov. 10-12, at spirit-filled Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
