Come celebrate Spring! Bredeson Outdoor Adventures (http://www.bredeson.com), an outfitter providing four season trips in Europe and New England, is announcing a March 28 guided hike in beautiful, historic Washington Depot, Connecticut. Steep Rock is one of the oldest land trusts in Connecticut and is based in the charming village of Washington Depot. It features old woods roads (now trails) that wend along the Shepaug River, a beautiful overlook, and a former old railway tunnel through which we’ll walk imagining the sound of trains of yesteryear. We’ll also visit the Institute for American Indian Studies Museum in the course of our hike. Bredeson Outdoor Adventures will provide a delicious trail lunch, admission to the museum, a fun guided walk complete with historical tidbits on the area, information on what to bring and wear, and driving directions. You supply the adventurous spirit. Our spring celebration hike will be about five miles long.
The cost for this guided adventure is $55/person and includes a guided hike, trail lunch, museum admission, historical/cultural information and a list of what to bring and wear.
