Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) offers this compact 865 to 928MHz Gen2 Passive tag which has a light-weight, durable housing and offers industry leading on-metal performance. The tag is easily attached to an item by either an adhesive or magnetic tape or a cable tie such as a metallic cable and a pipe. This compact tag is especially suitable for IT asset tracking as the sleek form factor of the passive tag fits well in the limited, exposed space of enterprise IT servers and equipment. It is also used for returnable transit items such as pallets, bins and totes in warehouse management applications.
This passive RFID tag, model116405, supports EPC Class 1 Gen 2 communication protocol and a read range of up to four to five meters. Encapsulated within plastic ABS/PC, the Gen 2 tag can withstand a maximum high temperature of 85°C; with an IP68 protection rating, it performs well even in harsh environments. The cost-effective tag is widely used in applications where reusability is not required. In comparison with permanent tags, this optimized passive tag helps to reduce costs due to indirect maintenance and labor.
