Conservatory Land to Manufacture Steel Conservatory Bases
One of the UK's leading conservatory manufacturers ConservatoryLand, is to commence manufacture of their own steel base and modular wall system.
Mansfield, UK, June 07, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- One of the UK's leading conservatory manufacturers ConservatoryLand, is to commence manufacture of their own steel base and modular wall system.
The steel conservatory base system will be branded ConservaBase and adopts the same basic principles as modern steel substructures that are normally used to build solid foundations for bridges, skyscrapers and many commercial buildings.
The main base structure is fabricated from strong steel box sections which are fully welded and suitable for supporting the weight of any conservatory with a floor area of up to 30 square metres. The wall sections are manufactured from folded galvanised steel sheet which is welded together and finished with a choice of real brick tiles to match the property to which the conservatory is attached.
David Bingham, Director of the company says “Steel bases are fast becoming the modern way to build firm foundations for any conservatory. They have become increasingly popular over the past few years and are particularly appealing to the DIY market as there are no builders or bricklayers needed, no skips, no concrete lorries and very little mess.”
The system also has many other advantages including the capability to span drains and manholes whilst still leaving them accessible and eliminating the need for re-siting them which can be difficult and costly.
According to the company, their steel base system reduces the complete conservatory build time from around three weeks which is typical for traditional build methods to around three days and predicts that by the end of the year. One in three of the conservatories that they manufacture will be supplied with the ConservaBase system.
David Bingham continues “Whilst the steel conservatory base market is relatively small, there are very few manufacturers and I believe that ConservatoryLand will be the only company in the UK to manufacture the complete conservatory including the frames, roof and base. This will give ConservatoryLand greater control over the service we provide to our customers and help keep prices competitive."
