ThinPrint, market leader for software based print management, has announced the availability of the mobile business solution Content Beamer 2.3 for Symbian OS, the leading operating system for smartphones.
With Content Beamer 2.3, employees can use a Symbian smartphone to access information on the company server to read e-mail attachments, or initiate database queries. Documents can be displayed on

It is not necessary to have the relevant file format viewer installed on the phone as Content Beamer 2.3 takes the formatting used for defining print jobs to allow document viewing. The document can be printed in original format as a fax or via bluetooth or infrared to any available printer. Systematic data integrity is ensured by a multileveled security system.
As a member of Symbian’s Catalyst Program, ThinPrint has worked in close co-operation with Symbian to deliver Content Beamer. The ‘by invitation’ program offers support to key development partners bringing Symbian OS based solutions to market.
“ThinPrint’s Content Beamer will allow enterprise customers instant access to corporate information,” said Geoff Preston, Technology Operations Director at Symbian. "Content Beamer adds to the range of applications and services on Symbian OS that support Enterprise and offer revenue opportunities for operators through high value mobile services for their mobile customer. The document handling functionality of Content Beamer provides a new dimension to mobile email applications.”
“We are proud to have been invited to join the Catalyst program and are looking forward to working even more closely with Symbian to provide the best enterprise user experience. Working as part of the Catalyst program has helped us deliver a compelling solution to the market,” said Carsten Mickeleit, Managing Director of ThinPrint.
Content Beamer 2.3 will be shown at the Symbian Exposium, stand 8.
