(Cincinnati and Lubbock, Texas; November 7, 2011) – Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, is seeking candidates for 600 full-time positions at its contact center in Lubbock, Texas.
 
Interested candidates from throughout the Lubbock area are invited to attend an on-site Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 12 at Convergys, 3701 West Loop 289 in Lubbock. New employees will provide customer service and technical support for a Convergys client in the cable/satellite industry. 

“These positions are ideally suited to anyone who appreciates the importance of building strong customer relationships while helping resolve a caller’s inquiries or concerns,” said Shari Barnes, site leader for the Convergys contact center in Lubbock.  “In addition, these positions also require some technical knowledge of a variety of products and services, so we’re looking for candidates with excellent troubleshooting skills.

“Working at Convergys as a customer service or technical support representative also may serve as a great stepping stone to a career in operations, recruitment, or training,” Barnes added. “In fact, more than 70 percent of Convergys’ customer service managers began their careers as agents, and we are known for the internal promotion of our employees.”
