Course Trains Professional to Mediate Business Disputes

Oklahoma - A three-day course designed to train individuals to mediate business and employment matters will be held in Oklahoma City from Wednesday, May 13, to Friday, March 15, 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. each day. The course meets the training requirements for professional mediators to qualify under the District Court Mediation Act and is approved by the Oklahoma Bar Association for mandatory continuing legal education.
In today's economy many organizations are affected by the escalation if interpersonal stress in their work environments. Oklahoma businesses are utilizing third party mediators, in-house mediators or managers trained in mediation to help resolve workplace conflicts before the turn into to more costly situations such as the loss of an employee or a damaging lawsuit. In the court systems Judges throughout Oklahoma are referring disputes to mediation in the hope that parties might resolve matters on a voluntary basis and avoid an expensive legal battle.
This course provides basic mediation skills for professionals seeking to enhance their current skills or enter the field of alternative dispute resolution. Class size is limited and disocunts for multiple registrants are available.
