Partnership Guaranteed until at Least 2011; Credit Suisse will also support next year's key exhibition "Georges Seurat - Figure in Space"
Zurich,  June 24, 2009

Credit Suisse and the Kunsthaus Zürich share a long history of success in the area of sponsorship. The partnership, which began in 1991, culminated in Credit Suisse attaining the status of "Partner to the Kunsthaus Zürich" in 2005. Credit Suisse is maintaining its commitment to a long-term sponsorship strategy and has just extended its agreement with the Kunsthaus Zürich until 2011.

When the major exhibition of the father of pointillism "Georges Seurat - Figure in Space" opens at the Kunsthaus on October 2, 2009, the Credit Suisse logo will also be visible at the entrance. The global financial services company with Swiss roots has had a commitment to the Kunsthaus Zürich for many years and supports the museum's main annual exhibition at Heimplatz, as well as a new addition to the portfolio in the form of two Kunsthaus nights. The successful partnership culminated in 2005 with Credit Suisse receiving official status as "Partner to the Kunsthaus Zürich." As an expression of this partnership built on continuity and trust, Credit Suisse recently extended the sponsorship agreement with the Kunsthaus Zürich until at least 2011.

Continued Long-Term Sponsorship

Art institutions rely on sponsorship to extend their scope of activity and realize major projects. Reliable sponsorsing partnerships are therefore important in order to keep pace with the competition in the exhibitions business and to make the most of opportunities for development. Credit Suisse sees itself as a sponsorship partner with a long-term orientation that can offer the institutions it supports security when planning ahead. For this reason, Credit Suisse has pursued a long-term sponsorship strategy for decades.

In addition to the fine arts, the main sponsorship activities of Credit Suisse also include jazz and classical music. Here too, the bank establishes partnerships of a long-term nature in accordance with the philosophy that when it comes to achieving the extraordinary, trust and continuity are basic requirements. Recent sponsorship commitments with a long-term focus include the Salzburg Festival (2006), the New York Philharmonic (2007), the National Gallery in London (2008), and the Hong Kong Arts Festival (added in 2009).
