Daktronics to Make LED Waves at LDI 2010 in Las Vegas

BROOKINGS, S.D. – October 19, 2010 – Daktronics, a leading designer and manufacturer of LED display solutions, integrated sound systems and hoists and rigging systems will exhibit at LDI, the live design industry’s premier US tradeshow and conference held Oct. 22-24 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Daktronics has been a long-standing exhibitor at the LDI tradeshow and 2010 marks the eighth consecutive year on the show floor. With more than 41 years in the business, Daktronics believes the involvement at the professional association and tradeshow level provides a good understanding of customer needs and enables the company to better serve clients.
“The live design industry is filled with pioneering, influential professionals with visions and it is our goal here at Daktronics, to help turn those creative visions into reality,” said Myron Linde, Daktronics mobile and modular video group manager. “We are looking forward to supporting this year’s tradeshow and surrounding events.”
In addition to having two booths on the show floor, the company is sponsoring the Parnelli Awards, the premier awards show for the live event industry, and the related Parnelli Celebrity Golf Classic.

“These industry events provide a great opportunity to honor industry experts, donate to charity, network with industry professionals and even relax a bit,” said Linde.

Conference-goers will also officially witness Vortek, a division of Daktronics, being rebranded as Daktronics. Acquired by Daktronics in 2006, Vortek has operated as a division of Daktronics and will soon move under the Daktronics umbrella, using the Vortek name to refer to Daktronics rigging product.
