  • UK team strengthened by former Head of Mouchel Consortium
  • Key focus on delivering enhanced value to UK customers and business development
  • Transformation and optimal use of Agresso and CODA at heart of strategy for 2010

Leading global business and financial software provider Unit 4 Agresso has announced that Darren Hunt has been appointed UK Sales and Marketing Director for Agresso and CODA in the UK. He will work closely with the Agresso and CODA teams in the UK and will support Anwen Robinson in her role as UK Managing Director.

Darren joins from Mouchel Management Consultancy, where he headed up the Mouchel Consortium. The Consortium, of which Agresso is a partner member, is a highly successful operation delivering large-scale technology related transformation projects to public sector organisations in conjunction with nationally and internationally recognised solution and service providers including Agresso. Prior to his role within the Consortium, Darren worked as Head of the Local and Regional Government business unit at Hedra, an independent management consultancy, which Mouchel acquired in 2008.

In addition to Mouchel, Darren has held executive roles with other market leading organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Redfern Consultancy where he focused on the UK Government and retail sectors and SAS UK where he was Head of Public Sector working with customers including DWP, HMRC, UK Police Forces, NHS and National Security Organisations.

Among the many highlights of his career was growing the Mouchel Consortium business 25% year on year, establishing a strategic relationship with the Welsh Assembly Government, being responsible for the overall Mouchel relationship with SAP and most importantly being responsible for the Marketing, Sales Support and Sales Process within Mouchel Management Consulting. All skills and experience he will be employing within Agresso and CODA.

Speaking of Darren’s appointment, Anwen Robinson said: “Darren’s career to date demonstrates his exceptional level of knowledge of what the market demands from business and financial software solutions like CODA and Agresso, combined with an unparalleled understanding of the role such technologies can play in transforming business efficiency and performance. All markets, sectors and industries, be they public or private sector, are experiencing unprecedented change and we believe this change will continue throughout next year and beyond. In having Darren join our already first class teams we believe we are even more strongly positioned to deliver our powerful and change embracing technology and help customers across the UK to make optimal use of their Agresso and CODA software as we emerge from this recession.”

Darren commented on his decision to join Unit 4 Agresso and his vision: “The Group combines solutions that deliver quantifiable results for an expanding user base and people who share a common objective, determination and ambition to grow and strengthen further the market leading position Agresso and CODA has in the global market. In my view this is a winning combination and an environment I wanted to be part of. Although no one denies that we face challenges in this tough market, the quality of our software, long heritage, experience, customer centric approach to service and solution delivery and willingness and agility to adapt and change stand us in good stead as we take our business forward.

“I believe we will see recovery in 2010, although I think it will be slow and progressive with some sectors taking longer to emerge and begin growing again.  Added to which we will have a general election in 2010 which could result in a change in government and all the uncertainty that brings with it. Undoubtedly both public and private sectors will be affected. The Agresso and CODA products enable us to offer customers best of breed integration capabilities and post implementation agility, allowing organisations to quickly and efficiently embrace change and, using our software, transform their operations with minimal interruption to business continuity.”
