Internal IT Resources of Leading Customers Freed to Focus Valuable Skills and Time
LONDON, 26 March 2014 -Data Integration, the network and system integrator owned by Xchanging plc, today announced the launch of two managed service offerings, both designed to take away the pain of managing IT internally.
Unveiled at UCISA 2014 (the premier IT event for UK universities and colleges, held in Brighton 26-28 March) on stand 72, Data Integration’s managed services cover two particularly challenging issues for ICT Managers – Networking and Security. This launch sees the leading integrator formally taking to market services it has been providing with great success for many years, for customers including Gatwick Airport, University of Exeter and London South Bank University.
Managed Security Services In line with the company’s belief that true security encompasses a set of business objectives, policies and approaches as opposed to hardware and software alone, Data Integration’s Managed Security Services are designed to protect organizational data, infrastructure, and reputation. This service will enable ICT Managers to protect their businesses around the clock from end-point to perimeter to data centre, and to deliver seamless, secure, fast wireless access across networks.
Managed Network Services Covering every element of local and wide area networking, Data Integration’s Managed Network Services encompass strategic roadmap development through to implementation and network maintenance. By outsourcing network management, Data Integration enables organisations to reduce the quantity, severity and duration of service delivery problems to ensure customer expectations continue to be met.
Adrian Taylor, Chief Technology Officer at Data Integration, comments: “So many IT vendors and integrators talk about ‘keeping pace with the change of business’, but when it comes down to it that’s easier said than done with limited internal resources. Rolling out new network initiatives such as wireless is highly resource intensive, as is staying ahead of security risks, specifically for sectors such as Education. Our managed network and security services enable organisations to redirect their own IT resources away from the stress of merely keeping pace, to focus on activities which create tangible customer value.”
