Datalliance Announces Plans to Expand Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Service for Europe

Cincinnati, Ohio, June 28, 2011- At its recent annual forum, Datalliance announced that the company is in the process of expanding its industry-leading Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) service for Europe. This expansion is in preparation for more aggressive marketing of the Datalliance VMI service to manufacturers located in Europe to begin in early 2012. Actions to be implemented in the third and fourth quarter of 2011 include system and Customer Care support availability during business hours in European time zones, and the addition of Customer Care specialists with a wider range of language fluency. Because VMI is a highly collaborative process between suppliers and customers, Datalliance is in the process of developing affiliations with European industry associations to increase awareness of the value of VMI in target industries.

A Growing European and Global Presence

Datalliance is already being used by manufacturers to provide VMI services for both industrial and consumer products in 49 locations and 15 countries within Europe, with more European locations planned. Overall, Datalliance is being used by manufacturers to manage thousands of inventory locations in 41 countries world-wide, including hundreds of locations in South America, Asia, and Australia in addition to North America and Europe.
