Datalliance Joins European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) to Increase Awareness of Vendor Managed Inventory

Cincinnati, Ohio, September 28, 2011- Datalliance, the leading independent provider of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) platform services to both industrial and consumer product supply chains, announced today that the company has joined the European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) as an associate member. Datalliance is already an active member of the related North American association, PTDA. A number of Datalliance customers are supplier members of both EPTDA and PTDA, including Gates, NSK, Rexnord, SKF, Siemens, Timken, Veyance, and others. Datalliance will participate in the EPTDA Annual Convention to be held 28-30 September, 2011 in Budapest, Hungary.

Datalliance is in the process of expanding its industry-leading Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) service for Europe. This expansion is in preparation for active marketing of the Datalliance VMI service to manufacturers located in Europe to begin in early 2012. Because VMI is a highly collaborative process between suppliers and customers, Datalliance is also in the process of developing affiliations with European industry associations to foster increased awareness of the value of VMI in target industries. This is a similar approach to that taken by Datalliance in North America.

A Growing European and Global Presence

Datalliance is already being used by manufacturers to provide VMI services for both industrial and consumer products in 49 locations and 15 countries within Europe, with more European locations planned. Overall, Datalliance is being used by manufacturers to manage thousands of inventory locations in 41 countries world-wide, including hundreds of locations in South America, Asia, and Australia in addition to North America and Europe. Many Datalliance customers are global leaders within their industries, including the US operations of a number of European headquartered companies such as Philips, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and SKF.
