Dean Gonsowski Joins Recommind As Head of Customer Engagement
Thursday, January 17, 2013
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - January 17, 2013 - Recommind, the leader in unstructured data management, analysis and governance, today announced the appointment of Dean Gonsowski as Associate General Counsel and Senior Director of Business Development. In those roles Gonsowski will spearhead Recommind's customer engagement programs and serve as a lead evangelist for Recommind's eDiscovery and governance solutions.
Gonsowski comes to Recommind as the former Senior eDiscovery Counsel at Symantec, which he joined following Symantec's acquisition of eDiscovery specialist Clearwell in 2011. At Clearwell, in the roles of Vice President of eDiscovery Services and Associate General Counsel, he was instrumental in advancing the company's rapid growth with large enterprise customers and its ultimately successful exit.
A former litigator, General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, Gonsowski has more than 15 years experience in litigation and eDiscovery consulting at companies including Daticon, Navigant Consulting, Inc. and Fios, Inc. Mr. Gonsowski has a JD from the University of San Diego Law School and a BS from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
At Recommind Mr. Gonsowski will work closely with key enterprise customers, government agencies and law firms to help them effectively leverage Recommind's industry-leading eDiscovery, analysis and governance solutions. He will also spearhead strategic initiatives to engage executive advisory boards and user groups and oversee Recommind's comprehensive customer loyalty infrastructure.
"This is an incredibly exciting time to join Recommind," Gonsowski said. "Having pioneered predictive coding for eDiscovery, they're now applying the same game-changing technology to information governance and analytics throughout the enterprise. They've just scratched the surface of what can be accomplished with software that understands human-generated content in context. I look forward to helping Recommind's customers go well beyond eDiscovery and start achieving truly proactive information governance and analysis."
"Having worked with Dean for years through the Sedona Conference and other industry organizations, I've always admired his intelligence, energy and grasp of the big picture," said Craig Carpenter, VP of Marketing at Recommind. "For years Dean has been a highly respected figure in eDiscovery and information governance, and we couldn't be happier to have him on our team."
