The new website for Decembeard 2014 went live today. Check it out here.

Decembeard aims to encourage REAL men throughout the UK to grow a beard to get people talking about bowel cancer and raise sponsorship for Beating Bowel Cancer.

The campaign was established in the UK in 2011 after Chris Evans announced on twitter that he was going to take part in Decembeard as he’d missed Movember.  Alison Selfe, a Beating Bowel Cancer supporter sadly no longer with us, immediately tweeted him back asking him to do it for Beating Bowel Cancer as she knew his father had died of the disease.

Beating Bowel Cancer has been raising funds through Decembeard ever since.

This year the charity has taken it to a whole new level with a fundraising target of £250,000, which we believe is achievable due to the year on year growth of the event and the increased interest shown by both the bearded community and the men’s grooming industry.

The money raised will help us to support people with bowel cancer and their families and to raise awareness of the disease, its symptoms and the need for early diagnosis.

We hope you like the new branding and welcome your feedback. Please send to
