Defiance Technologies Limited, a Hinduja Group Company, has announced that its Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection mobile app for the automotive industry has been declared the winner of the SAP® Mobile Apps Partner Challenge in India at the SAP TechEd 2012 conference held Nov. 28-30 in Bangalore.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, January 09, 2013 - (PressReleasePoint) - Defiance Technologies Limited, a Hinduja Group Company, today  announced its Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection mobile app for the automotive industry has been declared the winner of the SAP® Mobile Apps Partner Challenge in India at the SAP TechEd 2012 conference held Nov. 28-30 in Bangalore. Defiance’s Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection app, designed to operate on a tablet device, was chosen as the best among 15 enterprise mobility applications that were showcased during this unique competition. The apps were rated on various parameters such as utility, innovation, customer value and user interface.
Defiance’s Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection app integrates the convenience of computing on a mobile tablet device with the power of SAP solutions on the back-end for real-time information flow across the enterprise. This solution eliminates the paper-based Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection process, which is slow, is prone to errors and inefficient in aggregating and analyzing inspection data. This app, developed on the SAP Mobile Platform using the infrastructure provided by the SAP Co-innovation Lab, has been certified by SAP, and is available on the SAP Store.

The Defiance Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection app, which can be configured to work for OEMs as well as dealers, brings significant data integrity and control over the pre-delivery inspection process and can integrate with the quality management functionality of enterprise SAP solutions. The app is currently being tested at two OEMs. It is expected to reduce warranty and recall costs as well as contribute towards greater customer delight.
