Delta Celebrates 5 Years of Service in Tegucigalpa, Honduras

SAO PAULO, Brazil and ATLANTA, Dec. 18, 2013— Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) celebrates its 5th anniversary of nonstop service to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, connecting the city with the United States through its international hub in Atlanta.

Torres, Delta´s regional manager in Central America. “Our flights to our international hub in Atlanta provide convenient connections to Tegucigalpa, and also to San Pedro Sula and Roatan, from top destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia.”

Delta launched its first flight from Atlanta to Tegucigalpa on December 2008, and in 5 years since this inaugural flight, Delta's service has continued to expand to its currently daily service. Delta has 15 flights per week in a peak season, connecting the three main Honduran destinations and the U.S.

At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Delta provides access to more than 930 daily flights to 205 destinations, including nonstop service to 61 international destinations. Customers transiting the airport can experience the new Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal, a world-class international facility which opened in spring 2012 and features full signage in Spanish throughout the airport.

Airline also has a strong commitment with Tegucigalpa´s community, being sponsor of local foundations helping children needs and supporting local initiatives for Breast cancer awareness. Delta became a founding member of United Way Honduras, and launched the Delta & CARE in-country project at La comunidad de la Cuesta, including a donating to Felipe Calix School.
