The Depot Renaissance Hotel Minneapolis, in partnership with Aware/Columbia Records, is proud to announce an exclusive Angel Taylor (www.angeltayloronline.com) concert at the hotel's Stone Arch Bar on Wednesday, February 17th at 6:30pm. This concert is part of a national tour kicking off February 4th at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. Angel Taylor will play a series of intimate performances from her "Love Travels" debut album (iTunes named Best Pop Album of 2009) at select Renaissance Hotels from Seattle to Boston. All performances are free and open to the public.

A current, VH1 "You Oughta Know" Artist OnThe Rise, Angel Taylor is an extraordinary singer/songwriter and has been hailed as one of the brightest new artists of 2009, poised for a breakout year in 2010. Billboard magazine touted Angel's first single "Like You Do" for its "breezy, sentimental pop" and the "sassier tone" of lyrics that are "striking in their assertion of conflicted desire," while the Associated Press called the album "one of the top debuts of the year."

The 12 tracks on "Love Travels" are inspired by stories about "anyone who has ever wanted to be loved deeply by someone, but hasn't," said Taylor. "That's what this album is about-wanting it so bad, not having it, and wondering why...It's a lot of questions." Like John Mayer-her favorite musician and labelmate on Columbia Records-Taylor's lyrics pack a wisdom that defies her years, finding simple and accessible ways to describe life's most confusing emotions.
