Design Competition for National Cricket Team’s Jersey
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Grameenphone Ltd. (GP) are going to arrange a Jersey Design competition to get the best design for the jersey of National Cricket Team.
This was announced in a press conference today (October 19). This competition is going to be called ‘Jersey Utshob’. The competition will start from October 20, 2010.
All Bangladeshi nationals are eligible to participate in this competition. A jury board consisting of prominent fashion designers, ex-cricketers, Grameenphone and BCB officials will shortlist the designs to 100. These 100 designers will work with professional designers to fine tune their design. Amongst these top designs, the best design will be selected through sms based voting and jury board.
The participants will be able to submit more than one design. The participants can submit the design(s) through sketch on a paper or can create miniature made of cloth. Both form of the design will be accepted. The designs must have Red and Green colors along with other colors.
The participants could send their design(s) to GPO Box # 2005, Dhaka, submit through Email to‘submit@jerseyutshob.com’or can visitwww.jerseyutshob.comand submit their design at the website. The design(s) can also be submitted at all the Grameenphone Centers across the country.
The last date for submission is 14th November, 2010. The detail rules of the competition will be communicated through press advertisements.
Mr. Enayet Hossain, Chairman, Cricket Operations, Mr. Ahmed Sajjadul Alam, Vice President, Mr. Jalal Yunus, Chairman, Media Committee of BCB, Mr. Masrafee Bin Mortaza, Captain, Bangladesh National Cricket Team and Syed Tahmeed Azizul Huq, Head of Market Communications of Grameenphone Ltd. were present in the press conference.
