Karlsruhe, 08.04.09 -

T-Home is introducing Netviewer as an important addition to its line of IT services.

Deutsche Telekom AG is adopting into its portfolio the Web conferencing solution from Netviewer AG, Europe's leading provider of this type of software. The move is designed to expand its range of telecommunication services. The two companies have already concluded a strategic sales partnership for this purpose. As a result of the agreement, business customers of Deutsche Telekom will have the ability to hold Web conferences with business partners and project teams so they can discuss and jointly edit documents with no concern for where those business partners are located.

Deutsche Telekom is already marketing Netviewer and offering business customers the software through its "IT SoftwareService” portal www.itsoftwareservice.de. “Web conferences are ideally suited for improving the efficiency of collaboration because participants can jointly edit documents and even see their business partners through a Webcam. For these reasons, Netviewer is a perfect fit for our product portfolio," according to Hans Panse, Senior Vice President Business Products at Telekom. Customers who are interested in the service can gather more information or book a Web conference at the "IT SoftwareService” portal, by calling Deutsche Telekom, or by visiting a T-Punkt store.

The joint solution gives Netviewer the opportunity to reach many new potential customers and opens up a strong sales channel. “With a market share of 70%, Deutsche Telekom is the unrivaled market leader for telecommunication solutions. We are very pleased to have such an established partner on our side. Deutsche Telekom has two million business customers. Many of them will recognize the benefits of Web conferences and work together more effectively across great distances,” according to Dr. Andreas Schweinbenz, founder and CEO of Netviewer.

Netviewer has been developing solutions for online collaboration since 2001. Its products enable users to view and edit documents jointly over the Internet as if they were sitting at the same desk. More than 15,000 companies already use Netviewer. By moving meetings to the Internet they save the time and money they would normally spend on business travel. Online meetings allow them to shorten decision-making cycles and accelerate product development.
