Distributor Wire and Cable Company, a master stocking distributor of specialty wire and cable products expands stock of SOOW.

In early November Distributor Wire and Cable Company expanded its stock of SOOW. Also referred to as SO Cord, this flexible rubber cord is used in a variety of commercial, residential and industrial facilities. Within the Rocky Mountain Region it is commonly placed in portable appliances and motors for use in the milling and mining industries.

“Expanding our stock of SOOW seemed like a logical decision. Since we have a stocking warehouse centrally located in the Rocky Mountains we knew that many of our customers were going to have an increasing demand for this item.” commented Nash Flores, DWC logistics manager.

The SOOW family is manufactured in several varieties in order to meet the specifications of contractors and end users. Although SOOW is the most popular of these products DWC has expanded its inventory to include SJOOW and SJEOOW. SJOOW is known as “Junior Service” and is manufactured at 300 volts, where as SJEOOW carriers the same voltage but includes an elastomer plastic oil resistance inner and outer jacket.

“SOOW is an extremely versatile product. Since it has an oil resistant jacket it can be used outdoors but I always ask a customer what the application is before I suggest a flexible cord. My goal is to provide something that is going to withstand their usage and still be cost effective. There is a key code for flexible rubber cords so this can make finding the perfect product a breeze. ”said Robert McCord, Sales Manager.
