DMAA Welcomes Member MedAssurant as First Alliance Partner
WASHINGTON, D.C.—DMAA: The Care Continuum Alliance today introduced MedAssurant Inc., a leading provider of data-driven health care solutions, as its first corporate partner in a program to highlight population health improvement industry leaders.
Maryland-based MedAssurant's participation in theDMAA Alliance Partner Programmarks the first of an expected expanding list of companies and other organizations to join the recently launched initiative.
"MedAssurant is a long-established leader in the assessment and improvement of clinical and quality outcomes, care management, utilization and financial performance, and we're proud to welcome them as our first Alliance Partner," DMAA President and CEO Tracey Moorhead said. "This program promotes organizations committed to raising quality and value in chronic disease care, and MedAssurant is an ideal example of such a company."
"MedAssurant is pleased to be the first Alliance Partner to DMAA," MedAssurant President and CEO Keith Dunleavy, MD, said. "As the nation struggles to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care - now an explicit priority of the new administration - disease management firms will be challenged to prove that they are providing the value that the health care system needs of them. Through our partnership with DMAA, and partnerships with others in government and the private sector, MedAssurant is focused upon a revolutionary approach to disease management - showing the essential role that highly data-driven, patient-specific approaches can play in reducing costs, improving access and optimizing health outcomes for patients."
MedAssurant, established in 1998, provides local and national health insurance plans, care delivery networks, employers, pharmaceutical companies, regulatory bodies and government organizations with powerful, turnkey solutions that focus on applying advanced health care data analytics to drive insightful improvements in clinical and quality outcomes, disease management, cost improvement, risk adjustment and health care data intelligence.
TheAlliance Partner programraises the market profile of participants through multiple venues, including DMAA education and exhibit events, the DMAA Web site (www.dmaa.org) and respected print and electronic publications. The program draws on the synergy between the marketplace prominence of partner organizations and the well-established reputation of DMAA among providers and purchasers of population health improvement services and products.
