Dr. Deepak Raheja has always been intrigued by rehabilitation aspects of the mentally ill and those afflicted with the disease of addiction .He established a state-of-the-art recovery and rehabilitation center- The Hope Foundation in the year 2004 after conducting a pilot project to test the efficacy of a treatment model outlined by him. The model is based on the best practices around the world, after modifying them to suit the Indian context. The Center today provides residential and O.P.D services for a wide range of psycho-emotional disorders.

Dr. Deepak Raheja currently provides recovery services through his residential treatment center, O.P.D centre at 137,Uday Park, New Delhi and as a consultant with various hospitals, namely Sama Nursing Home and Aashlok Hospital in Delhi .Dr Deepak Raheja heads the department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Paras Hospital, DLF Gurgaon.

Dr. Deepak Raheja works with people in crisis, amalgamating various facets of psychopharmacology and techniques of counseling and psychotherapy, guiding people through the process of crisis intervention and resolution.

Dr Deepak Raheja is a senior consultant Psychiatrist to many diplomatic missions and a Senior Advisor to many Media Houses including CNN, IBN, NDTV, Doordarshan , Hindustan Times, Times Of India etc.

Dr Deepak Raheja has many research papers to his credit including pioneering ICMR funded research on Neuropsychological deficits of Chronic Cannabis Abuse.

Dr. Deepak Raheja is an active member of the Indian Psychiatric Society and has attended many workshops at various international Forums including being an active member of the American Psychiatric Society. He is well traveled and works in close association with many Psychiatric Departments in Europe and America on various issues/projects in the field of Mental Health.

Acknowledging his contributions the government of India conferred upon him the prestigious Indira Gandhi Priyadarshni Award for outstanding services, achievements and contributions in the area of community services in Mental Health in the year 2007.

He is a philanthropist and continuously strives for the cause of mentally ill on the streets and the psychological and basic upkeep aspects of street children.
With the intent to help the poorer section of society he has established Foundation Hope, an NGO which endeavours to pioneer in the field of Mental Health services for the needy.
