Dream Theater Keyboardist, Jordan Rudess, Releases New Solo CD, Notes On A Dream - Rudess Performs Solo Piano Versions of Some of Dream Theater's Favorite Ballads

June 21, 2009 - New York, New York: Critically acclaimed keyboard artist, and Dream Theater band member Jordan Rudess (www.jordanrudess.com) is proud to announce the release of his new solo CD, Notes On A Dream, featuring his unique and innovative piano interpretations of nine of Dream Theater’s favorite ballads, and three completely original solo piano instrumentals. Jordan Rudess first gained national exposure when the readers of Keyboard Magazine voted him 1994’s Best New Talent in the Overall Best Keyboardist category after his first solo release Listen.

Since 1999, Jordan has been an integral member of and creative driving force behind Dream Theater, the most critically-acclaimed progressive hard rock band in the world. Jordan states, “The Dream Theater songs on Notes On A Dream feature a diverse range of tracks that were written both before I joined the band, as well during my time with the band. While there have been many interpretations of Dream Theater songs recorded by other bands and artists, I thought it would be interesting, as a member of the band, to recreate these songs in my own unique, personal style.”

In a musical career that spans over two decades, Jordan has performed and/or recorded with the Dixie Dregs, Annie Haslam’s Renaissance, Liquid Tension Experiment, Paul Winter Consort and David Bowie, and he appears on over 40 other recordings by numerous other artists. Jordan appears on six Dream Theater studio CDs and three Dream Theater Live CDs and DVDs, and his own eight solo albums, including a complete CD of Christmas Music.
