The gathering celebrated Dubai’s leadership vision and its appreciation for human resources to ensure a better working environment for enhancing corporate performance leading to smoother eTransformation in Dubai.
Bin Humaidan opened the gathering with a welcoming speech in which he thanked the working teams that were behind DeG’s excellence and success under the wise directives and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Underscoring the importance of enhancing the spirit of competitiveness within a working team for achieving corporate objectives, Bin Humaidan said that Dubai eGovernment would continue to provide the necessary support to all employees to ensure that government performance is enhanced and internal operating efficiency is developed, thus positively reflecting on the quality of eServices. This is aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of customers including citizens, residents, businesses and visitors; and DeG employees, to ensure their satisfaction with these services.
During the gathering, a documentary was presented, highlighting DeG’s achievements which included organizing a series of leading activities, signing strategic partnerships with many local and federal government departments and entities and developing new applications, software systems and services that would promote digital transformation and support government integration in Dubai.
Later, Bin Humaidan and Lootah honoured 22 employees in appreciation of their successful careers that spanned a decade or more and for their valuable contribution during that period by supporting DeG’s vision. A number of other employees were honoured in appreciation of their contribution and effective role in completing the Government Service Bus (GSB) project, the eServices Migration project and the Web Single Sign-on project.
Valuing the efforts of all those who contributed to providing and developing government eServices, Bin Humaidan called on all DeG personnel to participate effectively in the process of development by continuing to work as a team, submitting suggestions and focusing on how to develop individual creativity in line with the future aspirations of the local and federal government.
This was followed by lunch and a series of team building competitions for which prizes were given.
